Pat Goffe
Pat Goffe is an accomplished educator, ministry leader, and award-winning children’s author with over 20 years of experience inspiring and serving children. In 2005, she created the first Black History Program at William A. Kirlew Junior Academy, raising $20,000 in its first year. She was named Teacher of the Year by the Southeastern Conference of Seventh-day Adventists in 2016 and received the Excellence in Teaching Award in 2018.
Pat’s love for storytelling led her to become a published author of nine books to date. She was named the Best Boss Author in Jacksonville, Florida, in January 2022 and received the Black Authors Matter Children’s Book Award for Best Overall Book in 2025. She is also a proud member of the Florida Writers Association.
Pat serves as the Southeastern Conference Children’s Ministries Associate Director, where she leads faith-based initiatives that foster leadership and spiritual growth in children. She holds a B.A. in Human Services with a specialization in Elementary Education and an M.A. in Special Education from St. Thomas University.
Her motto is: “Faith is the foundation; education is the tool; and love is the language through which we inspire the next generation.”
